These guys are a great addition to almost any tank. When younger they do a good job with algae control. However, when large amd older they don't really help much. Their diet should still be supplemented by feeding at night after the lights are off. What we like to do is take cholla wood and dip it In repashy meal. Then let thelat gel cool and dry on the wood before placing it back in the tank. While females can have some small bristles around the cheeks and mouth only the males get them on the top of their head. The chocolate as young will usually have spots that they use for camouflage and will dissappear as they mature. When stressed or bothered you may see these spots returning.
